SUMMARY
Lycom Communications is currently seeking an outside sales representative for our sales department. You will promote Lycom services including, but not limited to, high speed internet, digital phone and digital cable TV. This position offers flexibility and variable earning potential based on sales performance. The more you sell, the more you make!
We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated for success and is willing to be creative and develop new business relationships. The outside sales representative with Lycom Communications must be self-driven and be able to self-generate new leads, and have the ability to close new commercial business in an inside and outside sales environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Setting sales call appointments
- Over the phone and door to door sales
- Self-generating leads through networking with business associations and client referrals
- Calling on company-provided leads
- Following-up with existing clients to ensure satisfaction
- Staying organized with paperwork and service orders
- Attend sales meetings in person and training sessions as directed by management
- Achieve established sales goals and quotas
JOB REQUIREMENTS, EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Sales experience is preferred but not required
- Assertive and positive attitude
- Ethical approach to business
- Effective closing ability
- Power to learn and execute marketing and sales programs
- Strong desire to succeed
- Must be well organized and detail oriented
- Appearance must be neat and professional, conducive to an office and field environment
- Project a cooperative, professional and positive attitude toward customers and employees
- Must be able to work evening and weekends if necessary
- Proficient time management skills and ability to prioritize
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Driver’s License
- Must have clean working vehicle
- Complete Jones/NCTI online selling communication services course diploma
SALARY
Base + Commission + mileage reimbursement
